The Eleventh re:publica is Underway!

The founders kicked-off the eleventh re:publica at 10:30 a.m. The keynote speech that followed the launch for both the #rp17 and the MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin centred on ideas of democracy and freedom of speech. Over 1,000 speakers from 65 countries will be presenting topics ranging from current politics, art and net culture to questions about the future of work, mobility, digital education or healthcare, on a total of 20 stages from 8 to 10 May. And that doesn’t even come close to covering all the other things you can look forward to. Our cooperating partners have also put together some exciting programme points: together with the Science Year 2016*17, visitors can experience just how present modern technologies are throughout marine research in our sub:marine sub-conference. And for three days, the stages of the (MCB) will deal with current questions concerning media and internet policies, market trends and developments in the digital media society. “Love Out Loud!”: that shouldn’t be a problem with over 8,000 expected participants. And there’s one thing we’re especially looking forward to tonight: the party will be getting started at 9 p.m. in the Networking Area and on Stage 3!
