Isabel Skierka

Isabel Skierka is a researcher with the Digital Society Institute at ESMT Berlin and a PhD candidate at Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. 
In her work, she focuses on methods to test and assess IT security, as well as digital policy in Germany and Europe, e-governance and public sector innovation.
Isabel is also a non-resident fellow at the Berlin-based think tank Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) and served as a next generation member of the Internet Governance Forum Germany’s steering committee. Prior to joining ESMT, Isabel worked at GPPi, NATO, at the European Commission’s DG Connect, and at the Institute of Computer Science of the Free University of Berlin. She holds degrees in political science and international security.
