spring berlin: The creative Season is Back!

Last year we collected the best events that Berlin had to offer during spring. 2017 won’t be any different and we’ll be presenting you the most exciting events from the digital and creative scene at spring berlin.

It’s finally that time of year again: the days are getting longer and it isn’t just Berlin’s streets that are filling up – the city’s creative scene is also blossoming again. And just like crocuses, here they come, springing out of the ground from April to June: great events from Berlin’s digital and creative scene. A year and a half ago we founded spring berlin as a network that bundles the most important events from the season on one platform. In doing this, our aim is to present a cross-section of the digital creative industry and cultural scene. The events are as exciting as Berlin’s scene is diverse, ranging from fashiontech, film and animation festivals, start-up meetups and games, all the way to music concerts. Three cheers for the city’s cultural diversity! The purpose of the event network is to make the full creative spectrum of Berlin visible to everyone, especially visitors from elsewhere in Germany and the world.

Discover all the events for yourself at spring berlin. For example, there’s the ‘Carnival of Cultures’ (Karneval der Kulturen), a colourful celebration of Berlin’s diversity. Cultures from around the world come together at this street parade and festival, while also taking a stand against xenophobia. The Wear it Festival is another colourful get-together: interesting talks, workshops and exhibitions await the visitors – all dealing with smart, and wearable, textiles and technologies. The Maker Faire, on 10 and 11 June, invites you to get hands-on and discover various innovations from different areas of DIY – handicrafts, artisanship, digital technologies and more. The CUBE Tech Fair will also be home to exciting ideas in the realm of digital technologies, with tech start-ups networking with big players. Digitizing the Greenery will be no less innovative: the cooperation between re:publica and the International Garden Exhibition will be presenting an event series on Green DIY from April to July. The Torstraßenfestival, for its part, will be keeping things more urban. Between June 8 and 11, it gathers together bands and performers in different venues and locations in the city, creating a meeting place that moves beyond the local music scene.

You can find all the events at spring berlin, take a look. Brace yourselves – spring is coming!
