re:connecting EUROPE! We’re giving away tickets, including flights, to the re:publica in May for participants from Ireland and Greece

Networking the digital society and creating spaces for the exchange of ideas has always been the aim of the re:publica. This undertaking has remained an international endeavour throughout the past eleven years. This year, we want to strengthen that aspect further, which is why we are going to have the re:connecting EUROPE Space at the re:publica 2017. Together with the German Federal Foreign Office, we will be gathering experts, media representatives, international organisations and decision-makers from Germany and the port cities of Dublin and Thessaloniki at #rp17 to discuss the common challenges and solutions facing activists, founders and artists in Europe.

Berlin, as a central hub of Europe, serves as the starting point from which we want to strengthen the ties to Dublin and Thessaloniki. These are also the two cities in which we will be holding re:publicas outside of Germany this year. After the first, very successful conference in Dublin last year, a second #rpDUB will be taking place in Ireland this coming September. The #rpTHE in Greece is new on the scene this year and to celebrate this, we are going to be giving away 3x1 tickets to participants from both of these countries. We’ll also be covering the travel costs to Berlin for the winner’s from Ireland or Greece.*

All you have to do to take part in the prize draw is: tweet us your vision of a digital Europe using the #rpEUROPE hashtag until 20 April 12h (CET) 2017.

We look forward to new perspectives on the interconnected world we see in every corner of Europe. Digitalisation and its effects on the economy, politics and daily life has long been European. We think it’s high time to strengthen a European digital civil society and want to make our contribution in May at the re:publica in Berlin with the re:connecting EUROPE Space. We are especially happy that the re:connecting EUROPE Space at #rp17 will be supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.

We’ll see you in May: LOVEoutLoud #rpEUROPE!

*Travel costs are limited to Economy Class flights to Berlin from Ireland or Greece.
