Presenting: The #rp17 Newsroom!

We’re continuing the coverage! At the re:publica 2017, we’ll have trainees from the Berlin Protestant School of Journalism (EJS) and Fink & Fuchs providing a steady stream of news and video reports from the eleventh re:publica – all the way from Arts & Cultre zu Virtual Reality!

In doing this, we’re revamping the newsroom that we launched last year in cooperation with the journalism students of the DJS in Munich (this way for articles and reports from the #rpTEN). For this year’s collaboration, we’ve teamed up with the EJS from the German capital and also have the Fink & Fuchs agency back on-board for #rp17.

The newsroom on the re:publica website will provide text and video coverage of the conference's talks and topics, allowing journalists and fans from afar to gain a quick overview of all the important goings-on during each of the three conference days at the STATION-Berlin and Kühlhaus. Not an easy task with 20 stages, 450 talks and over 900 speakers!

The 16 trainees from the EJS will be working live on-site together with four trainees from the Fink & Fuchs agency, producing and reporting straight from a newsroom right in the middle of the re:publica. Each conference day will be accompanied by reports on talks and tracks from various stages. Formats will vary from classic articles to short-form portraits and video clips. In doing this, we want to make sure that re:publica's most important happenings are covered in the most engaging and appealing way for you, the audience.

The material from the three event days will be published on the same day in German and English and made available under the “News” section of our website. Updates will be provided via the usual social media channels. We are excited and hope to be able to offer you an even better overview of the conference. On that note: LOL!
