Jan Schallaböck is a lawyer at iRights.Law Rechtsanwälte. Before joining iRights, he was employed with the Data Protection Authority of the of Schleswig-Holstein (“ULD”), where he has been doing research on privacy technologies after finishing his exams in 2006. He also been engaged in international IT-standardization for more than a decade years and is currently Vice-Convener to the ISO/IEC Working Group on privacy and identity management. Prior to his work at ULD he was tasked with monitoring the UN World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva and Tunis  for Heinrich-Böll-Foundation. Jan is a member of Digitale Gesellschaft e.V. and has been committed to working on digital rights and liberties since circa 1999.
