Jasmine Alakari

Jasmine Alakari (1991, Helsinki) is a filmmaker living in Berlin and studying directing at the DFFB. She is an alumni of Berlinale Talents and her shortfilms and documentaries have been screened at International festivals such as Festivale de Cannes and Gothenburg International filmfestival. With a focus on feminist and queer content her works explore questions about the politics of the image. Last works include two episodes for the new series “True Colours" commissioned by funk, the Content-Network from ARD and ZDF. In between shooting and studying, she is part of the Babelsberger salon, a group working to promote the discourse on gender relations in cinema.
