Stuart Sheldon

Stuart Sheldon (b. Miami, 1963) is an author and self-taught artist whose meticulous collage paintings and large-scale installations have been praised by the San Francisco Chronicle, Miami Herald, Dallas Voice and many others. His acclaimed recent exhibition, I’m With The Banned, focused on the corrosive power of false narratives in political discourse and “raises awareness about injustices occurring throughout America,” says Miami New Times. Sheldon is creator and on-air host of the television series, ‘Meet Your Makers,’ an inside look at South Florida’s most interesting creators which airs on public television in America. His ongoing painting series, The Best Books Ever Written, repurposes deconstructed book covers and was featured by the Miami Herald as a “Pick of the Week” during Art Basel 2014. Sheldon’s work has been commissioned by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, ForFreedoms.org and many others and can be found in collections around the world. Sheldon co-founded and was Publisher of Streaming Media Magazine during the first dot-com boom. He has a gallery exhibition of all new works September 2017 in London during Frieze.
