​Thema unseres Workshops ist, wie sich Kommunikation, Information und Lernen in einer "Digitalen Gesellschaft" grundlegend ändern. Wir wollen konkrete Projekte und Formate im Bereich des generationenübergreifenden („digitalen“) Lernens exemplarisch vorstellen, eure Ideen kennlernen, entscheidende Faktoren ermitteln und gemeinsam mit euch weitere Handlungsoptionen ableiten.

A debate rages right now over whether we should be teaching every kid to code. While a noble idea, history tells us that won't be very effective. Code is merely the means to implement an idea. Kids first need to learn how to properly form ideas computationally.

After all, you've got to walk before you can run.

This session will argue why computational thinking aims to become not only an essential problem-solving skill, but as an essential way to understand life in the 21st century.

Lightning Talk stellen wir unsere Forderungen für eine zeitgemäße
digitale Bildung vor und möchten diese mit Euch diskutieren.

As we know, rote education is outdated as it only serves the purpose of turning us into obedient task rabbits. As a holistic approach to learning it is fundamental to activate self-efficacy and responsibility in addition to creative and social skills. This project questions the general hype around digitalization, exploring the theory of embodied cognition which emphasizes the importance of our physicality in the process of learning.

Whether you are a student, a researcher, a journalist or a practitioner, you know this situation: you need to get an overview of an unknown field of research - and you need it fast. With Open Knowledge Maps, you can visualize any research topic from a pool of over 100 million research papers. We will demonstrate how you can use knowledge maps not only to discover the literature that you need but also to improve your understanding of the structure of your research area. In short: we want to help you make your literature research more efficient and effective.

Und es wird nicht besser: je mehr ich bestimmte Dinge nach rechts wische (like), desto öfters gibt mir der Algorithmus ähnliche Dinge zu sehen. Mein Belohnungs-/Wutzentrum schlägt Purzelbäume, meine kongnitive Dissonanz schwenkt die weiße Fahne. Meine Weltbild wird untermauert, meine Filterbubble zementiert. Ich sags euch doch: Ich habe Recht!

the ecosystem not only helped provide new tools and connections, but inspired new models about how you bring up your children, how you live and how you work?

We have redesigned the way people can not only learn, but work together, across boarders in the most marginalised communities in the world.

Schule hat die Aufgabe, Schüler*innen zu befähigen, als mündige Bürger am demokratischen Prozess teilhaben zu lassen, eigene Entscheidungen überlegt zu treffen und Verantwortung für ihr Handeln zu übernehmen. Aula möchte es Schüler*innen der weiterführenden Schulen ermöglichen, in einem festen, vorher vereinbarten Rahmen eigene Ideen für Gestaltung zu entwickeln, Mehrheiten dafür zu finden und die Umsetzung zu beschließen. Die Schülerbeteiligung erfolgt dabei auf Grundlage der Liquid Democracy.
